No one can promise you an outcome.

And I won't pretend otherwise. If you're trying to decide whether to trust me with your case, the rest of this page is the honest version.

I opened this firm in 1997, and I have handled more than 15,000 cases since. I am admitted in courts across Texas, and before I went into private practice I clerked for two state supreme courts. I tell you that because you should never have to take a lawyer's word for who he is. You can check every bit of it. And the reviews below come from people who actually hired me and watched me work.

What you won't find here is a scoreboard of wins, and I want to be straight about why. Every case turns on its own facts. What happened for someone else won't tell you how yours will end, and my law license requires me to say that. I believe it, too. When a result does go on this page, it is anonymized, and it goes up only after my client has agreed or enough time has passed that sharing it is fair. If you want to know how I would handle your case, call me and ask. A few honest minutes on the phone will tell you more than anything I could write here.

    Nick Powell Google review
  • He did very well for me. He was attentive to my concerns and answered the questions I had for him. Even some of those remedial questions. He listened to the situation and he never appeared to be condemning.

I didn't want to get involved in our "Judicial System", I am just glad that I found Mr. Starr to help resolve everything.

    Keith Carpenter Google review
